1. SERIES SCOPE

The 12-LIT series utilises Plaintext (.txt) to facilitate rapid generation of literature references, ensuring cross-platform compatibility and machine readability for high-volume indexing.

2. NAMING CONVENTION

Files must follow the SANS Prefix and the four-digit LIT-ID sorting logic:

Scole-12-LIT-[ID]-[Surname]-[Firstname]-[Year].txt

3. METADATA STRUCTURE

Every file must contain the standardised Header (File ID, Location, Purpose), the Metadata Block (Archive-ID, Citation, Type, Tags, etc.), and the Revision History Footer.

4. ARCHIVAL NOTES STANDARD

To maintain consistency when expert commentary is not immediately available, the following default text should be used: "This item in the 12-LIT folder of the Scole Archive has been included for its potential usefulness to researchers when studying the archive content. Add any additional archival notes relevant to this item here."
