A Commanding NHI Communicator Called "Varrenheeric" Shut Down The Scole Experiment | Session 464
During Session 464, the Scole Experiment was abruptly shut down by an authoritative communicator presenting as a high-level non-human intelligence (NHI) and identifying as "Varrenheeric".
Varrenheeric was apparently giving the human participants—the four members of the Scole Experimental Group (the Group)—no choice in the matter.
The Scole "Vortex" Has "Attracted Experimenters from Your Future"
Jarhadwe. Jarhadwe Scole. This is Varrenheeric calling you. I hope you can hear me.
Your experimental work with your spirit team has created a vortex, or doorway. It is this vortex that has attracted experimenters from your future.
This means that every time your four spiritual energies are together, and you try to re-establish communication with your team, the future time experimenters try to make their own links with your time.
This interference cannot be allowed to continue.
We ask that you co-operate by not attempting to contact your spirit team.
We must tell you that all the work at Scole was very important.
The links that were made have already enabled interdimensional energies and wisdom to assist the changes to future earth consciousness.
Therefore, this final mission is to seal the doorway that has been created, and to end ALL communications - I repeat - to end ALL communications.
I would like to thank you for co-operating with us.
This is Varrenheeric and I must end this last communication with you now.
Jarhadwe. Vit dew tic. Tac tic tar jar.
Peace to you all, now and in your future.
Jarhadwe. Vit dew tic.
The Scole-Edison Trans-Dimensional Communication (TDC) Device | "Germanium Receptor"
Varrenheeric's audio communication was made possible by the Scole-Edison trans-dimensional communication (TDC) device, also known as the "Germanium Receptor" due to the crystalline semi-conductor material used in its construction.
This powerless device, incorporating a germanium crystal "cube" under screw-pressure and two tightly wound copper coils, had a connecting wire and jack to the microphone input socket of a battery-powered magnetic cassette tape player-recorder (tape machine) of the type commercially available in the 1990s.
The tape player-recorder "amplifier" and video camera
For the Project Alice experiments, the microphone on the tape machine had been removed so that it could not pick up ambient sound or conventional signals such as radio.
The machine functioned as an amplifier of sounds facilitated by the TDC device.
For this particular experimental session, the tape machine was also connected, via a second wire, to the external microphone input socket of a video camera.
The human engineers
The TDC device had been constructed by the Scole Group in association with two distinguished engineers, also Scole participants, Professor Emeritus Arthur Ellison of England and Dr. Walter Schnittger of Germany.
Professor Ellison later co-wrote The Scole Report, a scholarly, 300-page, peer-reviewed, refereed Proceedings of the SPR, and Dr. Schnittger participated in 30 Scole experiment sessions—assisting, observing, and recording.
Who Designed the Scole-Edison TDC Device?
The Group and engineers were guided to make changes to their construction and usage of the TDC device by a circuit diagram and explanatory text instructions.
How were the circuit diagram and text provided?
The diagram and instructions were "transmitted" onto a 35 mm Polaroid film roll.
This was still in its factory-sealed, light-proof container when it was placed, at the start of the session, on the central, circular table around which the experimenting group sat.
"Many minds" had worked together to direct their thoughts, with the stated intention of rearranging the atoms and molecules on the film to communicate a message.
Complex imagery was "received" on the film roll, this time in a "panoramic" format along the length of the film rather than in individual frames.
Did Thomas Alva Edison Sign and Send the T A E film?
The originating communicator of the diagram and instructions had also left a three-letter signature, "T A E", on the right-hand end of the image on the film.
This communicator self-identified as a deceased-human intelligence (DHI), formerly known when living as the prolific American inventor, Thomas Alva Edison.
Was the T A E film anomalous?
Photography means "drawing with light".
In traditional photography, chemical film "catches" photons bouncing off a subject.
Without photons hitting the film, the image stays completely dark in normal circumstances.
Since the experimental room was in complete darkness at the time of the "transmission", imagery of any kind on the film was considered to be anomalous phenomena by the Scole Group.
Did the living Edison have an interest in instrumental communication with the Afterlife?
It is a matter of historical record that Thomas Edison said he was building a device for communicating with the Afterlife when he was alive.
The American Magazine | October 1920
In an interview conducted by B.C. Forbes for the October 1920 issue of The American Magazine, Edison stated that he was working on an apparatus to test whether human personalities that have left Earth could communicate with the living using scientific instruments rather than human instruments or "mediums".
Scientific American | October 1920
Following intense media interest, Edison gave a follow-up interview to Scientific American later that month to clarify his hypothesis: he believed life consists of indestructible microscopic "units" that scatter after bodily death and might produce subtle physical vibrations detectable by delicate apparatus.
No known records of Edison's 1920s apparatus
There are no known plans, notes, or equipment relating to the apparatus the inventor said he was working on during his lifetime.
"The Realms Beyond"
However, when Edison’s memoirs were published in 1948, seventeen years after his death, they included a chapter titled "The Realms Beyond" in which he described his ideas on using technology to communicate with spirits.
Who Were the Scole "Communicator Team"? | Cooperating DHI and NHI
Five years and hundreds of experiments across six countries earlier, regular contact between the Group and their Communicator Team (the Team) had been established during the early sessions.
Deceased-human intelligences | DHI
The Team's representatives said the Team was made up of "many minds" who continued to exist in a variety of Afterlife environments and conditions following their physical deaths after a life, or in some cases "many lives", on Earth
Most of of the Team–"thousands" of them–remained in the background and did not communicate directly or identify themselves.
Whilst these communicators from the Afterlife have traditionally been referred to as "spirits", the Team said they wanted to move away from the old names towards words more suitable for the new "Spiritual Science" they were introducing at Scole (see below).
We therefore refer to this type of communicator in the Scole Archive–whether they lived on Earth a long time ago or more recently–as "deceased-human intelligences" or "DHI", to distinguish them from the other category of Team members.
Non-human intelligences | NHI
During later sessions, when conditions were right and both sides were "ready", the Group had been introduced to these other members of the Team.
They identified as non-human intelligences (NHI).
"Extraterrestrial" and "Interdimensional" NHI
Based on our understanding of the data thus far, some NHI could be defined as "extraterrestrial", whilst others might be described as "interdimensional".
Some NHI, whether presenting as extraterrestrial or interdimensional, had a physical body with what we humans would understand as limbs and sense organs when they physically joined the Group in the experimental room at Scole.
Others had an apparently simpler "container" for their consciousness, with one, "Sharness Darti", describing "himself" (they had "male and female for balance and harmony" in their "society") as a an empty cell, like a bubble within a structure that makes up a whole.
Is "Thought" a highly efficient means of communication between diverse intelligent beings?
The practical means of contact and communication between bodied and non-bodied entities across vast distances of space and time—and "dimensions"—raises questions about means, methods, and procedures.
"Thought" may be the most efficient and fastest means of contact and communication between diverse intelligent, conscious beings in these many environments of existence since thoughts can instantly travel to and "be" anywhere and anytime in a single universe or multiple universes.
Did "Telepathy" play a part in the Scole Experiment?
Telepathy and the general relevance of minds, thoughts, and dreams are common themes in the Scole Archive data for both DHI and NHI communicators.
There has been considerable data on telepathy collected by human researchers and we will be referring to this in more detail as the archive expands.
Project Alice "Video Camera and Mirror" Experiments | A "Modern Psychomanteum"?
The Scole Group had for some time been coordinating with the Team on a "modern psychomanteum".
A psychomanteum is a mirror-gazing method originally used by ancient Greeks to contact the dead.
Psi Encyclopaedia confirms that shamanic mirror-gazing traditions are found as far apart as Siberia, Madagascar, North America, and areas of Africa.
The version proposed by the Team to the Group at Scole incorporated either one or two angled mirrors and a video camera on a tripod intended to be an artificial eye for the mirror-gazing function.
The Group were also asked by the Team to spend varying amounts of time at the beginning of the Project Alice sessions sitting in front of the mirror and gazing into it in a state of meditation, prior to the video camera taking over the mirror-gazing function,
A New "Spiritual Science" and a New "Creative Energy" to Power It
The Team had, during the early sessions, explained to the Scole Group that a new form of "creative energy" was being employed at Scole to facilitate and "power" experiments in "Spiritual Science".
Spiritual Science was explained to the Group as "the science of Life and the Afterlife", the methods and results of which could help humanity considerably if learned and correctly employed.
The right conditions had to be created during Scole experimental sessions for the contact, communication, and related anomalous phenomena facilitated by the methods of spiritual science to work.
Sound vibrations
"Helpful" sound vibrations were provided by Albinoni's Adagio in G Minor, a tune referred to by the Team as "spiritually inspired".
Classical elements
Cardinally aligned crystals, ambient air, a single lighted candle, and water in a bowl created the "four classical elements" (earth, air, fire, and water), which the Team said helped facilitate contact and communication with "far distant dimensions".
How did Varenheeric communicate?
During Session 464, when the Scole-Edison TDC device was connected by a wire to the microphone-less tape machine acting as an amplifier, and the machine was in turn connected to the video camera, this setup enabled Varrenheeric to transmit messages that synchronised his lip movements on the video tape with the words he was saying on the audio tape .
What Was the Interference by "Experimenters from Your Future"?
Varrenheeric had previously explained that the vortex, portal, or unique interdimensional doorway created by the Scole experiment sessions had attracted "experimenters from your future who are exploring time".
A "crystalline time probe"
The interference was identified as an interdimensional time-wave pattern generated by a "crystalline time probe".
These were "early" experiments in time by "genetically modified" humans in the future of "your timeline".
Through perfectly synchronised audio and video, Varrenheeric said the future experimenters were using the Scole vortex to try and make their own links.
The Scole portal has been opened too wide
This situation could not be allowed to continue as it was too far ahead in time.
The original intention had been to open the portal a few years ahead of the 1990s.
The portal had unintentionally been opened far beyond that.
All parties to Scole were experimenting, not just the humans
This illustrates the Team's often-made point that The Scole Experiment was experimental for all parties: human, deceased human, and non-human.
As such, all parties were learning and all experiments were subject to the usual trial and error which accompanies experimentation everywhere.
Miscalculations and other mistakes had been made, and the Scole Experiment sessions therefore had to end to avoid further consequences.
When Did The Scole Experiment End?
The Scole Group had to make the ultimate sacrifice when complying with Varrenheeric's instruction to seal the doorway he called a "vortex".
After five years and 464 sessions, with that final "Jarhadwe" sign-off, The Scole Experiment was at an end.
The date was 6 November 1998.
The four members of the Scole Group were devastated to lose contact with the Communicator Team who had become "like family" to them.
We Invite You to Join Us on Our Journey Exploring the Scole Archive Data
Our aim in collecting and sharing the Scole Archive is to show and tell the story of the Scole Experiment from Session 1 on 4 October 1993 to Session 464 in 1998, by publishing as much of the data as possible.
A data-driven approach
Our approach is data-driven.
We try not to dismiss anything so that we are less likely to miss anything.
We are discovering new things all the time and are open to changing our minds.
Sharing "Introductory", "Guided", and "Raw" data formats
By curating and universally sharing all the archive data in three formats (introductory, guided, and raw), our aim is that others will have an opportunity to study all the data for themselves and form their own opinions.
As new data is revealed, in accordance with the requirements of the scientific method, if we do express an opinion on it, we are fully prepared to be wrong today and righter tomorrow.
We accept that interpretations of, and opinions on, the data may vary
We accept that others may have different interpretations and opinions about the implications of the data.
Scole Curator Rules of Engagement
However, our specific requirement for engagement with us is that all interpretations, opinions, and comments are informed by a close study of the Scole Archive data.
See our "Scole Curator Rules of Engagement" page (linked in the "Cross-References & Links" section below) for more detail.
Please accept our invitation to join us on the journey
This first Curator Post serves as an invitation to everyone to join us on our journey of exploration into the Scole Archive.
We look forward to sharing the data with you.

Support Scole Archive
Curating and freely sharing a massive digital archive is not actually free.
Since 1998, we have given our unconditional support to this project.
However, an estimated ten-fold increase in archival data between 2023 and 2025 means we now regularly dedicate 80 hours a week between us to digitising, indexing, and formatting these records.
In 2026 alone, we have invested over £5,000 from our personal savings to upgrade our computer systems to process this content, alongside further significant expenses for ScoleTV videography equipment, hosting, digital subscriptions, audio-cleaning, travel, and other costs.
We do not wish to rely on conditional funding from institutional or private donors.
We believe the data from The Scole Experiment is too important for outside influence or paywalls, and that it must remain freely accessible for future generations.
If you value this archive and our commitment to open access, and would like to help sustain this work without strings attached, any contribution you can make will be gratefully received and deeply appreciated.
