Below is the plaintext HTML extraction of the Archive file.

Outlines the comprehensive protocols for digitising and archiving physical bulletins. Key directives include extracting documents article-by-article to guarantee granular archiving and SEO optimisation, strictly enforcing A-Series chronological sequencing based on original print layouts, standardising alphanumeric file naming, and implementing an In-Text Marker system to cleanly reference associated images without disrupting the plaintext reading experience.

1. STRUCTURAL EXTRACTION (ARTICLE-BY-ARTICLE)

Bulletins must never be migrated as single, massive plaintext files. To ensure SEO optimisation, digital readability, and granular archiving, each distinct article within a bulletin must be extracted into its own standalone Plaintext document.

2. NAMING CONVENTION

Bulletin articles use a highly specific alphanumeric naming string to ensure chronological grouping and unique referencing across all volumes:

Format: Scole-05-BUL-[BULLETIN-NO]-V[VOL]N[NO]-A[ARTICLE-NO]-P[PAGE/SPAN]-[Article-Title].txt

Example Single Page: Scole-05-BUL-01-V1N01-A01-P01-Regular-Bulletin.txt

Example Multi-Page: Scole-05-BUL-01-V1N01-A02-P12-P13-Witness-Report.txt

- A[ARTICLE-NO]: Denotes the chronological sequence of the article within the specific issue (e.g., A01, A02) to guarantee perfect alphanumeric sorting in Drive.

- P[PAGE]: Uses a two-digit format (P01). Spans use two separated tags (P12-P13).

- NO LEADING ZERO OMISSION: Issue numbers must retain their leading zero (e.g., V1N01, not V1N1).

3. METADATA HEADER & CONTENT SEPARATION

The flowing text of the article must be explicitly separated from the metadata using an "ARTICLE TEXT:" header, followed by the title of the article on the next line.

Example:

ARTICLE TEXT:

Regular Bulletin

[Flowing text begins here...]

4. IMAGE REFERENCE PROTOCOL

To maintain a clean plaintext reading experience while ensuring images remain digitally linked, the archive utilises an In-Text Marker system.

- In-Text Marker: Place a bracketed number and description at the relevant point in the text (e.g., "...as seen in the photograph [IMAGE 01: The Churchill Crown]...").

- Appendix: Create an "IMAGE REFERENCES:" block immediately above the CROSS-REFERENCES section.

- Empty State: If an article contains no images, the header must remain, followed by "None."

Example (Populated):

IMAGE REFERENCES:

- FILE ID: Scole-07-PHO-Churchill-Crown.jpg

- DRIVE: [Drive URL]

- POST: [Blogger URL]

Example (Empty):

IMAGE REFERENCES:

None.

5. DATES & SUMMARY ALIGNMENT

The "DATE" field in both the Bulletin Summary document and the individual Article documents must reflect the date of the Bulletin's publication (e.g., 01/12/1994), not the date the plaintext file was generated.

6. ARTICLE SEQUENCING (A-SERIES ORDERING)

When assigning the chronological A-Series sequence (A01, A02, A03) for a physical page, articles must be ordered based on the physical placement of their titles. Process strictly top-to-bottom in the leftmost column, and then move sequentially across to the right.

- Exception: "Banner" articles, where a title stretches horizontally across multiple columns above the body text, take precedence as the first item in that vertical space.

=====

REVISION HISTORY:

v1.2 - 02/11/2026 - Added Article Sequencing (A-Series Ordering) rule for multi-column layouts.

v1.1 - 02/11/2026 - Updated Image Reference protocol to specify the use of "None." for image-less articles.

v1.0 - 02/11/2026 - Guidance established to define the A-Series numbering, HTML splitting protocol, and the Image Reference system.
